Naharlagun, Mar 15: Along with the rest of the world, State Department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs observed the World Consumer Rights Day today in the districts and at the headquarters with the theme “The Sustainable Consumer”
The day was observed by setting up an open forum for consumer consultation under the banner of Consumer Care Centre (CCC) at the office premises of the Controller Legal Metrology & CA here at C-Sector. Every year, the department sets up the CCC and gives guidance to the consumers having grievances and also receives complaints which are related to Legal Metrology. The department also made an innovative publicity campaign by sending a vehicle that carried various information and tips for consumers, to pass over all the locations of Capital Complex and distributed brochures to the passersby. This mobile campaign was flagged off by the Controller, Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs Hoktum Ori from the office premises.
Based on the theme, the Controller appealed the gathering to change their behaviour towards maintaining sustainable environment by using products and availing services which are sustainable by nature. LM & CA PR
