ITANAGAR, Mar 26:Reacting to recent controversy over Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) appointees, the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee today blamed the state government for sabotaging laid down rules for the appointment of APSCW panel.
The current government is colouring the highest statutory body of women’s fraternity illegally which was fairly constituted to improve the status, dignity of women in Arunachal Pradesh. The state commission for women was constituted to investigate and enquire into unfair practices affecting women but by damaging its original principle Pema led BJP Government is endorsing a culture of ‘unlawfulness,’ it further alleged.
The APCC while demanding scrapping and reconsideration of the appointment further said that the government has no right to adulterate the highest establishment of the women’s fraternity.
