ITANAGAR, Jan 11: Original Indigenous People Volunteer Committee has submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh seeking his intervention on the controversial statement given by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to grant PRC to Non-APST residing in Arunachal Pradesh.
In its memorandum, Committee claimed that the announcement made is arbitrary and needs to be withdrawn. Committee also urged the Governor to direct the State Government to refrain from taking any such hasty policy decisions which may invite un-surmountable social tension and breed unavoidable political and social upheavals in the State. Committee also appealed that the Report of the Joint High Power Committee may be made public and should be placed before the stakeholders for evolving People’s Referendum on the matter.
