ITANAGAR, Sep 18:The Joint Working Committee of Arunachal Pradesh Trade Unions (JCAPTU)  on Tuesday reiterated its demand for enhancement of grade pay of all Work-Charge (W/C) serving in all engineering departments in the state.

It alleged that while pay scale of Ministerial employees of the directorates and district administration officers has been enhanced at par with upgraded pay scale notified by the government, no action was initiated to hike the pay scale of W/C workers till date.

Referring to CPWD manual Volume –III section –I of “group –D” employees, it claimed that its guidelines under 6th central pay commission made eligible those having at least matriculation and XII passed certificates to have PB-I grade pay of Rs 1800.

The JCAPTU has been demanding enhancement of wages of unskilled, skilled and highly skilled workers which fall under group “D” and “C” serving in various departments.
