RAGA, Jul 13: Deputy Commissioner Kamle, Moki Loyi inaugurated a coaching clinic for meritorious students of the district at government higher secondary today.
The coaching clinic under the Acharya Gurukul Yojana is an initiative by the government to provide best of coaching facilities to students studying in rural areas. During the inaugural program, meritorious students were awarded cash awards, laptops and smartphones.
Lauding the government’s initiative to encourage and motivate students, Loyi said “A society is progressive when people are enlightened. Through this flagship program, the government aims to create a pool of educated and enlightened students, who'll grow into law abiding citizens.”
Kamle still needs hand holding in the education sector. Because of communication bottlenecks the new district has a long way to traverse, he further added.
Underscoring the role of teachers and parents in shaping the future of the students, he further appealed them to guide and motivate them. He further advised the students to use the smartphones and laptops for education purpose and to keep themselves abreast with the tech savvy world.
Noting the number of girls out performing boys, he added, “In a patriarchal society like ours encouraging girl students with such program is an encouraging step to empower women.” DIPRO
