ITANAGAR, Jun 10: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has conveyed his deepest condolences to the family of former Director IPR & Printing Supriyo Deb who expired last night due to a sudden cardiac arrest at his residence in Harmutty (Assam).
Terming Deb as a fine gentleman and a very good human being, CM in his condolence message said that his contribution was immense in strengthening the department of IPR and Printing during its formative days and his services to the state as the Director of IPR & P will be remembered for long. He prayed to Almighty to bestow the bereaved family members with strength to bear the irreparable loss.
The officers and staff of DIPR, Naharlagun condoling the death of Deb today observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul besides sending condolence message to the bereaved family members. Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee President, Takam Sanjoy expressing condolence on his sudden demise said that Late Deb was a great philanthropist and a man of discipline.
“I express my sincere apologies to the bereaved family for being unable to attend the funeral as I am out of the station. I pray to Almighty God for eternal peace of the departed soul and to bestow enough strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss,” the condolence message read.
His mortal remains were kept at his Harmuti residence for his near and dear ones and friends to pay their last respect. A large number staff of IPR and printing departments paid their respect before the last rite was performed at Bhipuria cremation ground on Monday.
State media fraternity led Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists President Amar Sangno, Arunachal Press Club President Dodum Yangfo and Arunachal Pradesh Electronic Media Association President Toko Migom joined the mourners to convey their condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
