TAWANG, Mar 24: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today visited the construction site of an educational complex of the Thubten Shedrubling Foundation where he was warmly received by the monks and the site engineers.

The foundation founded in 2014 started the construction of education complex in the same year with funding received from India and abroad.

The CM in his visit inspected the ongoing construction work of the 2-storied building. Also he inspected the newly constructed returning wall that was built to prevent landslide from adjacent hillside.

The Chief Minister in his interaction with the monks was informed that the school, which is expected to complete by this year would offer courses on Buddhist meditation and philosophy, life and jobs skills, and offer free medical care. The foundation hopes that the project would bring positive change for the people of Tawang in years to come.

The CM was also informed that the institute would offer courses on Bhoti and English languages, and offer vocational and computer courses.Art & Culture Minister Dr Mohesh Chai, Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi, Brigadier MP Singh and Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok accompanied the Chief Minister during the inspection visit.
