DIRANG, Nov 25: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Saturday inaugurated the new office building of the Monpa Mimang Tshokpa (MMT) here in presence of local MLA Phurpa Tsering, MLA Mama Natung, MMT President Rinchin Dorjee and DoKAA Chairman Jambey Wangdi.
Khandu congratulated the MMT, the apex body of the Monpa community of Arunachal for the new building and urged the organization to work for societal upliftment and for harmony among different communities.
Underscoring the importance of apex community organisations in Arunachal, the CM said such organisations helps bridge the differences among different communities and build peace in the state. He also said the apex bodies has important role in preservation of culture and tradition of the community.
Khandu requested the business community and the local leaders for their contribution in construction of office building of MMT at Tawang and Kalaktang also.
On the occasion, Chief Minister released the organization anthem developed by MMT.
