PASIGHAT, Sep 20: Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein are expected to join the three-day long Balek Government Secondary School Platinum Jubilee celebration (BGSSPJC) scheduled to be held from October 25 to 27 next at Balek village, Pasighat. 
In this regard, a coordination committee meeting was held today under the chairmanship of the Pasighat East MLA Kaling Moyong which was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, SP Sumit Kr Jha, Organizing Chairman Oyem Dai, Secretary Tobom Dai, DDSE Odhuk Tabing, PMC Chief Okiam Moyong Borang, HoDs, elected representatives and all the celebration committee members.
The Balek secondary school is one of the oldest schools of the state which was established in the year 1946 and upgraded to UPS in 1965. It was further upgraded to Secondary level in 1982 and was affiliated to CBSE in 1985.
While seeking wholehearted cooperation from society to make the celebration a grand success, MLA Moyong stated that committees and subcommittees of BGSSPJC were working in tandem and everything was going in the right direction. He reviewed the progress on various plans for the celebration and advised the committee members to use every penny judiciously in a befitting manner. 
The MLA expressed his gratitude to the CM Pema Khandu and DCM Chowna Mein in particular for their moral support for smooth conduct of the event. Taking privilege, Moyong added that there has been noticeable progress over last one year and the VVIPs would inaugurate and lay foundation stones of many projects on the inaugural day.
DC, Tayi Taggu opined that such meetings provide a chance for committee chairmen and other members to understand each others’ perspective. He on behalf of the district administration assured to extend all logistic support and cooperation for smooth conduct of the ensuing celebration. 
Among others, organizing chairman Oyem Dai, secretary Tobom Dai, chairman (Resource mobilization) Tajom Tasung, Head Master Kalom Ering and SMC members of Balek Secondary School also shared their views and experiences. DIPRO, Pasighat
