AALO, Mar 8:The Reyi Multipurpose Cooperative Society in collaboration with RCCN TV Aalo conducted the annual mega award giving ceremony to three cleanest colonies of Aalo in a glittering function held at Gumin Kiin on March 7 last. Kabu Masi, IRN Bn Complex and Old Market came first, second and third respectively to bag cash prize of Rs. 1, 00,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs.25, 000 along with glittering trophies. This is the fifth and final year of the event which was conceptualized in 2013 to promote sense of cleanliness among the dwellers of Aalo town.
The society also felicitated Yati Ruku, Topper from Monigong Secondary School as part of the annual initiative taken by the society to encourage students of the interior most circle of the district.
Attending as Chief Guest, Er. Tumto Kamchi, SE PWD Aalo said that Aalo is one of the oldest towns of the state and remains the heart of Galos. All NGOs, Welfare societies, Students organizations and right thinking people should come together to take bold initiatives for the growth and development of the town and the wide range of initiatives taken up so far by the RCCN is a positive trend, he said.
Aini Taki Taloh, the Chairperson of Pasighat based Ayang Society which is spearheading the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp within and outside the state said that every effort directed for the cause of humanity is always a team effort.
In his key note address, Liduk Ete, Director RCCN who has been engaged in cleanliness for the last five years said that a trend has been set and it is up to the people to take it forward.
