Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
ITANAGAR, Jan 31: Today, volunteers from the NGOs-Youth Mission for Clean River and Abralow Memorial Multipurpose Society cleaned the Yagamso River at the Energy Park stretch, supported by the Itanagar Smart City Development Corporation Limited.
In a statement, the Youth Mission for Clean River highlighted the adverse impact of the morning downpour on the Yagamso River at the Energy Park stretch. The excessive rainfall led to the accumulation of garbage, resulting in the river appearing murky and obstructed. The source of the debris was identified as various headwater zones, including Raj Bhavan and Lobi areas.
Taking swift action, the volunteers undertook the task of clearing the riverway, and removing the accumulated garbage to restore the natural flow of the Yagamso River.
