Pasighat, Apr 27: A cleanliness drive with theme “Save Siang Ane” was organised today by the Team Magic Club Arunachal Pasighat unit.
The drive was undertaken with the objective of cleaning the bank of the mighty Siang river. Despite heavy rain, the work started at 6 am in the morning with 24 volunteers attending the event who were also assisted by many likeminded people who came voluntarily.
Unit Coordinator, Jeblun Messar apprised the gathering about the ancestral linkage of Siang Ane with the people of Pasighat. The AGS (AAPSU-Protocol) Thomas Jerang also joined the cleanliness drive.
Magic Club Prefect, Ijum Gadi also stated that such clean river campaign is the need of the hour and will be organised in all the important rivers of the state.
