PASIGHAT, Jul 26:  Along with rest of the state, the Clean & Green Arunachal campaign was also launched here in East Siang District on Thursday with massive plantation drive in various locations under Pasighat Forest Division and D. Ering Wildlife Sanctuary, Division Pasighat.

 Leading a plantation drive under D. Ering Wildlife Sanctuary, Tasang Taga, DFO, D. Ering WL Sanctuary said that, more plantation of trees are required to combat growing global warming. A total of 1000 saplings were planted. 

 Under the same Division of D. Ering WL Sanctuary, the Sibiyamukh Range led by RFO Domek Koyu also planted total of 200 saplings in the school premises of Primary School, Kongkul under Namsing Circle and also handed over 300 saplings to the village Gaon Burah for plantation in the village. 

 Meanwhile, similar massive plantation drive was also held under Mebo Forest Range of Pasighat Forest Division in various locations.
 
The plantation drive at Mebo Range was led by RFO, Obang Tayeng who also motivated the  general public to lay emphasis on planting more trees to save mother earth.
In a brief meeting after the plantation drive at Seram village, the gbs, teaching faculty of the school and other speakers dwelt in length about maintaining greenery and cleanliness in their surroundings. 
RFO Tayeng sensitized the students on the importance of plants and trees in human life and for continuity of human beings in this planet.
 Tashi Mize, DFO territorial Division with participation of the field staff of Pasighat Forest Range and the Divisional Staff led plantation drive at Komlighat area of Pasighat.
