ITANAGAR, Nov 6: A Children’s Football League will be organised from November 14 onwards which will be a multi-category one with age groups of U-6, U-8, U-10 & U12.
This was informed today by Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) through a press release which also said that it is an attempt to create a culture of sports, where kids can be engaged in a systematic playing structure. The league matches will be played on weekends (Saturdays/Sundays) and on official holidays only so that there is no hamper in studies of the kids. All schools, clubs, NGOs and communities have been invited to take part in this visionary initiative, which will also have a girl’s category.
Forms are currently available from Arunachal Pradesh Football Association Office, Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Naharlagun and interested teams may collect them and obtain further instructions, informed Secretary, APFA. APFA PR
