Itanagar, Feb 7: A joint effort initiated by Railway Childline, Bangalore run by Don Bosco and Childline Itanagar run by Don Bosco Youth Centre has resulted in successful rescue and return of 26 children in the age group of 4 to 13 years to Arunachal Pradesh.
Karnataka government and Karnataka Police assisted in the mission and the process of handing over of the kids to their legal parents is currently on through the intervention of Chairperson of CWC, Itanagar Advocate Likha Asha and her team and CO Changlang. These twenty-six children who made headlines in Arunachal dailies during last week of November 2019 were identified by Railway Childline, Don Bosco Bangalore, constantly counselled at a Government facility and are now back home, thanks to the collaborative efforts of CWC Bangalore, Karnataka Police and Bosco Bangalore.  
The kids who were received by the staff of Childline, DBYC led by Coordinator, Peter Langpong were assisted by Senior Superintendent of Police Kime Aya and Capital SP Tumme Amo and his team which included OCs of Itanagar Police Station and capital’s Women Police Station.  Advocate Asha rushed at very early hours to DBYC Vivek Vihar where the children were temporarily received to finalize formalities and the official handover to their lawful parents and civil authorities from Changlang is just a matter of time.  While interacting with the children, DBYC Itanagar Fr. Cyriac thanked Senior SP, SP Capital and his team and CWC Chairperson for their effective help within a very short notice.
