KHONSA Jun 28:Paramount  Chief of Longthan (Laptang) and gold medal recipient Dinwang Lowang passed away today after prolonged illness at his native village Longthan.

Laptang was awarded with gold medal by the then Lt. Governor of Arunachal Pradesh in 1974 for link roads constructed on self-help basis from Kaimai to Longthan (Laptang). 
Deputy Commissioner Tirap PN Thungon, Paramount Chief of Borduria and Adviser to CM Wanglin Lowangdong, Paramount Chief of Namsang Sunwang Lowangdong, Minister for PHE&WS and DoTCL etc Wangki Lowang, MLAs Wanglam Sawin, Tirong Aboh, Gabriel Wangsu in their condolence message termed his demise as irreparable for entire Tirapians.
