Aalo, Mar 4: Chief Electoral Officer of Arunachal Pradesh, Pawan Kumar Sain conducted a meeting with DC cum DEO, SP, Sector Officers and District Nodal Officers of West Siang District for the upcoming simultaneous election 2024 in the state.
On arriving at Aalo, CEO along with DEO cum Deputy Commissioner of West Siang, Mamu Hage and SP Abhimanyu Poswal, visited the Strong room, Counting Hall and expressed satisfaction with the preparation.
Later he attended the meeting of Poll preparedness for ensuing simultaneous election. As West Siang has 106 polling stations, he briefed about the role and responsibilities of all the Nodal Officers.
"Role of Sector Officers is important during and before polling day,” he said. He urged the DEO to impart the election training of all the Sector Officers, Nodal Officers and officials for smooth conduct of the upcoming General Election and state assembly election.
He also informed the HoD's and HoO's to ensure that officials and officers don’t take part in any political activities. If anybody is involved in unfair activities then action will be initiated as per ECI guidelines, he cautioned.
