PASIGHAT, Feb 27: A day-long workshop on “Petroleum Product Conservation in Agriculture Sector” was held today here at the College of Horticulture & Forestry, Central Agricultural University.
The programme is sponsored by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, GoI and the target group was farmers/rural youths using tractors, power tillers, oil engines and other farm machineries and equipment in agriculture. The programme was chaired by Dean, College of Horticulture and Forestry, CAU, Pasighat Dr. B.N.Hazarika and directed by Associate Professor & Head, CHF, CAU Dr. Saroj Kumar Pattanaik.
Twenty nine farmers and rural youths participated in the workshop and were exposed to the importance of conservation of petroleum products and steps to save the precious resource were imparted by the Resource Persons through Power Point Presentations, movies, etc. CHF PR
