ITANAGAR, Jan 20: Former president Arunachal Press Club (APC) Chopa Cheda urged to shun money culture while addressing the believers at the closing ceremony of Silver Jubilee celebration of Likwa Gyadi Baptist Church, Pipu circle, as Chief Guest on Sunday.
Cheda also appreciated the Clean Election Campaign initiated by Nyishi Baptist Church Council (NBCC). “Church can play major role with such initiative for corruption free state and fair election, indeed it will produce good leaders for society” he added.
While stressing on preservation of tradition and culture, he also appealed the people to give equal space to other religions also.
“One of the major teachings of Jesus is to give respect and love others so we should follow his teaching without discrimination to others.”
Expressing concern over poor infrastructure and connectivity in Pipu and Gyawepurang circle since last many decades, Cheda also urged natives to choose a leader who can work and stand for its people, irrespective of which party or area one belongs.
Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary, NBCC Tarh Choya elaborated on the recently adopted Clean Election Campaign by the NBCC.
