CHANGLANG, Feb 11: As part of its on-going effort to curb drug menace, the Changlang police has recently arrested two drug peddlers identified as  Mingsam Ngemu, who is a police constable and his partner  Dihom Kitnya after around 15 grams of suspected brown sugar was found in their possession during routine checking. 
Following a tip-off regarding the movement of suspected drugs peddlers in the township, a police team led by SI Sunny Wangsu conducted a checking near PS Changlang. 
The patrol party intercepted the duo when they arrived at the spot and upon inspection, found three small plastic pouches containing contraband items which were allegedly hidden by Mingsam Ngemu inside his right shoe shocks.Accordingly, police seized them on the spot and arrested both the peddlers. 
As per police sources , a case has been registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and an investigation has been launched. DIPRO
