ITANAGAR, Jan 16: The certification programme of Election Commission of India for ROs and AROs of Arunachal Pradesh started simultaneously today at Itanagar and Namsai. The first batches at both locations would undergo training from January 16-19 next while the next batches would undergo training from January 21-24 next at both locations.
National Level Master Trainers are being deputed by the Election Commission of India to train the ROs and AROs in this four day long training programme.
Addressing the participants in the inaugural session of the training programme at D K Convention Hall, Itanagar, CEO Arunachal Pradesh Kaling Tayeng, opined  that the Election Commission of India has started a certificate programme for Returning and Assistant Returning Officers so that no mistake is done during polls. He also requested all to attend the training with sincerity.
While stressing on election preparedness , CEO  added  that the District Election Management Plan, Communication plans to all polling stations and the staff requirements should be re-assessed and updated keeping in view the practical requirements of respective areas. All the ROs/AROs of the state will be trained on all aspects covering the entire gamut of election processes. Among others, Deputy Commissioners of the state who are also the District Election Officers are also attending the 4 day training program.
