3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
ITANAGAR, Jan 24: The Week-long Certification Program by Election Commission of India (ECI) for Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers of Arunachal Pradesh concluded today. At least 194 officers of the state attended the training in different batches at Itanagar and Namsai . The officers were being trained by National Level Master Trainers sent by the ECI, New Delhi.
Attending the last day of training program at Namsai , CEO Arunachal Pradesh, Kaling Tayeng, appealed all the officers present to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity for peaceful conduct of elections. He also added that proper training should be imparted to polling officials at districts and at least five rounds of training should be conducted before they move for election duty so that no mistakes are made by the polling team.
Further, he also informed the officers that many new developments have taken place compared to last elections like introduction of VVPAT and IT applications and he exhorted all to properly acquaint themselves with these developments. Meanwhile, CEO also attended the conclusion event at DK Convention hall, Itanagar in the evening today.
The training was attended by all the DC cum DEOs, ROs and AROs of the state. Training was exhaustively conducted on topics like District Election Management Plan & Constituency Plan, Vulnerability Mapping & Deployment of security personnel, Model code of conduct, Election Expenditure & monitoring, EVM & VVPAT – administrative procedure and hands-on training and others.
