ITANAGAR, May 4: Office of the Executive Engineer (E), Transmission Division II, 132/33 KV Sub-Station, Chimpu through a release issued on Monday has informed that power supply to central and eastern parts of Arunachal Pradesh will be disrupted as a result of damage caused to the 132 KV Daporijo-Aalo Transmission Line due to felling of trees.
The said mishap has affected the R-phase conductors in the span between towers 21 and 22 near Megdong area under Kamle district and the felling of trees has purportedly been caused by human activities and law enforcement department has been intimated to investigate and take necessary action.
The extent of damages have been assessed and field work for restoration of power supply to the central and eastern belts has started which will take 3-4 days due to the severity of the damage, the release said. Power Dept. PR
