Khonsa, Mar 3: As a part of the intensive two-day training on preparation for conduct of Census 2021 in Tirap district, the 1st Phase of District Level Training for Census Charge Officers and other Census functionaries on House listing and Housing Census and Updation of National Population Register concluded today here at the district headquarters.
Census 2021 being the first-ever census to be conducted digitally through mobile apps, Master Trainers from the Directorate of Census Operations, Shillong dwelt at length the application methodology of the various census apps. Practical applications were also made on the field with the Charge Officers. DC-cum-Principal Census Officer P.N. Thungon applauded the DSO-cum-Additional District Census Officer, Tirap and the Master Trainers for making the training interactive and fruitful.
The training was attended by the newly joined ADC Khonsa K, Tikhak, ADC Deomali Penga Tato, HoDs, officers and government employees of the district assigned for census duties. Vote of thanks was delivered by DSO (Stat.) Nokgen Wangsu. DIPRO
