Itanagar, Aug 29: Arunachal Pradesh Child Development Project Officers’ Welfare Association (APCDPOWA) conducted an exhaustive meeting with the Minister Women & Child, SJETA and Health & Family Welfare, Alo Libang here in his office chamber.
The APCDPOWA delegation briefed the Minister of the immense possibilities and improvements in the department in addition to special services like POSHAN ABHIYAN, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojna (PMMVY), BBBP, ICPS, Domestic Violence Act, etc. Bottlenecks in smooth functioning and better delivery of the above services such as irregular honorarium & salaries, office expenses, lack of infrastructural amenities such as office building, staff quarters, godown for SNP, etc were also discussed.
Libang while appreciating the yeoman services rendered by the department especially Anganwadi Workers & Helpers, advised to continue the good work and serve the vulnerable sections of the society by invoking the spirit of Team Arunachal. Further, he assured to look into the grievances and render help in all possible ways to improve the department.
APCDPOWA team also paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Secretary WCD, Niharika Rai, IAS who appreciated the services rendered by the grassroots workers and assured to look into the grievances faced by field officials. Newsdesk
