Roing, Oct 21: Roing today witnessed a unique and joyous celebration that of the birthday of 32 children presently residing at the Child Care Institute(CCI) Roing. The 'Janmotsav' celebration, sponsored under the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' Scheme, was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom, Secretary(Tax & Excise) Anirudh Singh, SP SK Sain, DD(ICDS) GA Perying, officers and invitees.
Desai Linggi (Chairperson, CCI, Roing) expressed gratitude to all guests for thinking of the cchildren's welfare and making the day special for them through their contributions. This small gesture of celebrating their birthday and giving them gifts and making them feel loved will bring happiness to the children's lives, she added.
She informed that the CCI presently has 32 children from 7 districts of Lower Dibang Valley, Dibang Valley, Lohit, Namsai, Changlang, Anjaw and East Siang. She also spoke on the need of sponsorship and possibility of fostering to keep the CCI functional and running. DIPRO
