Itanagar, Feb 12: As a part of the Smart City Itanagar Project, the CC Pavement Road from Panchali to Lobi via Khola Camp was inaugurated today by Minister, Urban Development & Housing, Town Planning etc Kamlung Mosang in presence of MLA 13th Itanagar Assembly Constituency Techi Kaso, Secretary, UD & Housing, Town Planning & ULBs-cum-Chairperson Smart City Itanagar Sonal Swaroop, other officials and common denizens.
CEO Smart City Itanagar Bhanu Prabha, Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex Komkar Dulom, former councillors of IMC and common people from Lobi, Panchali and Khola Camp areas were present on the occasion. Minister, UD & Housing while appreciating the work done by Smart City Itanagar, gave credit to the people of these areas for their full support in its completion. He informed that out of the total 27 km, a stretch of over 2.5 km is being inaugurated now and the remaining portion shall be completed in time and around 20 Sectors and Colonies in the capital shall be having the all-weather road on completion of this project. He expressed satisfaction on the quality of work and appreciated the Team Smart City for bringing respite to the people of Lobi, Panchali and Khola Camp areas where communicating during monsoons is always an arduous task. The Minister further assured to look after other amenities like retaining wall and drain along the said road. EE IMC-cum-Joint CEO Smart City Itanagar Tadar Tarang, Engineers of IMC and other senior citizens were also present.
MLA 13th Itanagar AC thanked the people for their cooperation during construction by not plying their vehicles and appealed them to maintain the road which is an asset for the city.
