ITANAGAR, May 2: The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results of Class 12 Thursday afternoon. The results were declared way ahead of their schedule. Girls outperformed boys this year too with two girls emerging as joint toppers and three girls students clinching the second rank as well.
However the Education department in Arunachal Pradesh couldn’t immediately disclose the details regarding the state’s performance. Speaking to this daily, Director Secondary Education, Gania Leij said that the pass percentage and the names of state toppers, as well as their marks, can only be disclosed after getting a detail report from the CBSE regional office Guwahati.
‘We are expecting good pass percentage this year as the department has made all-out effort to ensure quality education to students,’ said the Director while adding that details will be disclosed within two days.
As per the official report from the CBSE, the total pass percentage for the country is 83.4%. Around 13 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examination conducted by the CBSE this year in 4627 centers.
In all India CBSE ranking, Hansika Shukla from Delhi Public School in Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora from SD Public School Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh emerged as the Class 12 CBSE toppers. Both have scored 499 out of 500.
