TAWANG, Oct 17: The Apex body of the Monpa community, Monpa Mimang Tsogpa (MMT) today adopted Government Higher Secondary School, Jang, keeping in tune with Chief Minister’s advice to the CBOs to adopt schools for their qualitative betterment.
The formal adoption programme at Jang HSS was attended by DC I/c Tawang Lobsang Tsering, ADC Jang, Lobsang Wangchu, President MMT Rinchen Dorjee, Vice President MMT Dr Wangdi Lama, PD DRDA Tawang Lobsang Tsetan, DDSE Tawang Hridhar Phuntsok and all COs under Jang sub-division in presence of parents and general public. Speaking on the occasion, President MMT said that with combined efforts schools can be brought to better shapes and parents should play their roles more actively and shouldn’t leave the education aspects of their children to the schools only. DC congratulated the MMT and school fraternity for the noble cause and addressed the students and teachers.
DDSE, ADC Jang and others also spoke on the occasion. The programme ended with thereading out of the adoption declaration by the MMT President. DIPRO
