3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
ITANAGAR, Jan 11: The nine day long Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) of the 1st APBN National Cadets Corps (NCC) concluded here at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic Institute (RGGPI) today on a colourful note to utilize youthful energy for the country's development and security.
Addressing the valedictory function, Secretary Education, Madhu Rani Teotia said that the time has come for the youth to play a vital role in nation building, development and security as well.
Appreciating the performances of the cadets in the training, she called for channelizing the youth power for a greater cause and exhorted cadets to excel in every avenue of life, and develop patriotic fervor.
She further hoped that the training session inculcates in them a sense of leadership and camaraderie.
Commanding officer Col RK Sharma, Dy. Camp commanding officer Col Raghunath Sekhawat, camp Lieutenant, Palvinder Singh and senior officers of the Arunachal NCC Battalion were present on the occasion.
It is to be mentioned here that the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) which began here at RGGP Itanagar from January 3 saw participation of around 400 Cadets (Boys and Girls) from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
The nine-day training session included group discussion, weapon training, PT display, drill, tent pitching, social service, cultural activities etc
Later prizes were also distributed to the winners of several sporting events and cultural activities.
