ITANAGAR, Nov 14: A three member Central Assessment Team headed by Satish Bagal, Project Officer, Sport Authority of India, New Delhi, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports inspected the MLA cottage Indoor badminton stadium and B-sector Indoor badminton stadium here today to evaluate and consider to Accredited Badminton Academy under Khelo India scheme.
While appreciating Union MoS (Independent Charge) Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju for deputing top officials from his Ministry in the state on regular basis, Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) General Secretary Bamang Tago informed that ASBA participated Expression of Interest (EOI) for non residential Badminton academy against the aforesaid stadium last year. 'We have fulfilled Pre-qualification Criteria so hopeful for grant of accredited academy by SAI under Khelo India scheme,' he added.
