ITANAGAR, Mar 14: With political parties trying every tricks of trade to woo voters, the state police and flying squads too are in their elements after the enforcement of model code of conduct and leaving no stone unturned to foil any illegal activities to ensure  free and fair polls.
In another major haul after Capital police’s success in unearthing more than Rs 15 lakh, Pasighat police on Wednesday is reported to have seized a whopping  Rs 10,72, 000 cash from different locations under the district.
In a similar seizure at Seppa, the district headquarters of East Kameng, police have seized about 1.8 lakhs cash following a tip-off.
“The seizure details are being intimated to the concerned authorities so that further action to examine the trail of financial transactions can be initiated,” informed SP, Capital Police, Tumme Amo. 
The run-up to the state elections is witnessing record-breaking cash seizures with more than 15 lakh rupees seized on the very first day of MCC implementation in the state capital, Itanagar.
