PASIGHAT, Apr 12:  

 

A one day career counselling programme was organized at JN College Auditorium by Adi Students’ Union (AdiSU Apex) and its District unit in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh College Teachers’ Association (APCTA) JN College unit today which was sponsored by DDSE, East Siang District and other well wishers. 


Highlighting the aims and objectives of the programme, Buteng Tayeng, General Secretary, AdiSU (Apex) said that the union is targeting to conducts such programmes in all Adi inhabited districts with the help of the government and other NGOs.

 

In the recent meeting with Minister Education, Honchun Ngandam and Secretary Education, Bidol Tayeng, AdiSU had  proposed to introduce  regular Career Counseling & Guidance Programme (CCGP) in every Secondary and Higher Secondary Level Schools across the state for welfare of students, added Tayeng.

 

Apart from course details and career, opportunities for the girl child in education through centrally sponsored schemes were also highlighted.

Among others social activist Aini Taloh, founder Chairman of a voluntary blood donating NGO ‘AYANG” also spoke.
