ITANAGAR, Jan 18: The much required cremation ground in the capital complex is nearing completion and will soon be available to the public, said local MLA Techi Kaso.
Kaso alongwith officers of Urban Development department and local leaders of Chimpu area today inspected the work progress of the cremation ground near Chimpu. He said that a fund of 1.8 crore has been approved for completion of remaining works and directed the officers to immediately carryout the works. Kaso also requested the local leaders to constitute a local committee who will look after and care for the ground.
The lack of a cremation ground in the capital caused much difficulty for residents here as the last rites had to be carried out at neighbouring Laluk in Assam.
