ITANAGAR, Jun 11. Capital Complex, Superintendent of Police, Tumme Amo on Thursday paid a surprise visit to the Mother's Home located at Lekhi village and donated food kit, groceries and other essential items that would last beyond a month.
The consumables including masks, sanitizers, etc were received by in-charge,  Mother's Home, Tailiyang Shanti in presence of inmates, and others.
A grateful Shanti said, "We would like to extend our deepest thanks to the SP for tirelessly extending needed support to the destitute home since last many years and its associated branches spread across the state."
With your donations, we are able to feed nutritious food and support to less privileged and abandoned people, " she said while thanking all donors who came forward to support the NGO and donated wholeheartedly during this ongoing pandemic situation.
" The happiness on their faces is the reflection of all of your generous support, " she added.
SP, Tumme Amo who has been contributing to the NGO's needs despite being posted to other districts urged everyone to donate to the Mother's Home.
The SP expressed confidence that NGOs, along with the city’s residents and officials will come together to help those in need from time to time. Amo further educated the inmates about the danger of Covid-19 and preventative measures to be taken.

Mother's Home is a voluntary charitable organization working towards the upliftment and well-being of orphaned, abandoned, and  neglected elderly persons, especially for women and children.
