ITANAGAR, Aug 6: Based on FIR registered at Naharlagun Police station, Capital Police led by SP Tumme Amo arrested a bike lifter from Assam.
On August 4 last an FIR was received at Naharlagun PS that some unknown person had lifted a Royal Enfield Motor Cycle from A- sector Naharlagun and on getting information, Police team swung into action, stated the SP.
Police team arrested the accused Habijul Ali of village - Karunabari PO/PS - Laluk, Lakhimpur with the help of Assam Police and also recovered the stolen motorcycle the very next day.
In a separate case, Capital Police also solved the case of burglary at Neni Hyundai Service Centre (workshop) Lekhi village and stolen car batteries worth Rs. 97,700 from the workshop in the intervening night of August 3 last. Police arrested the two culprits Rajesh Raba, 18 yr of village Harmoti, Lakhimpur, Assam who was working as a washerman at the service centre and Anwar Hussain, 24 yr of village Dakhimpur, Nagaon, Assam who is working as a scrap dealer at Lekhi village.
During the operation, at least 10 stolen car batteries were recovered from different locations. Newsdesk
