ITANAGAR, Sep 24: Capital Police detained three juveniles and arrested three persons in connection with illegal gambling from different parts of the capital on Sunday evening.
Team led by SDPO Itanagar Kamdam Sikom under the supervision of SP Capital M Harsha Vardhan conducted sudden raids in and around Itanagar including Jullang area. Police have recovered large amount of gambling materials.
A Case u/s 188 IPC and Arunachal Gambling Prohibition Act has been registered at Itanagar Police station, informed Superintendent of Police, M Harsha Vardhan.
‘Capital Police have already cracked down on gambling in weekly markets. More action will continue in days to come’, said the SP while appealing the denizens to refrain from such illegal activities.
