NAHARLAGUN, Dec 13: The Capital Police drive to enforce valid registration plates on vehicles entered the third day today. Police teams could be seen at various locations checking for violators. Capital police has taken action against 183 vehicles in the past three days. 
SP Capital Harsha Vardhan informed that the drive will help in controlling use of stolen vehicles and improve the sense of order on roads.
On the third day, four wheelers (LMVs) were also checked. Out of the 50 vehicles detected without number plate or with faulty number plate, 11 were four wheelers. 20 out of the 50 vehicles have been seized by police for further verification while the rest were released after paying a fine. 
The SP stated that the seized vehicles are being verified thoroughly as users have not been able to produce satisfactory documents. He once again appealed to the citizens to follow ensure proper number plate on vehicles.
