Itanagar, May 7: The Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar cum Nodal Officer NH-415, Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta  inspected the work of Highway(Package B) from Pappunallah to Nirjuli on Monday along with the officers of Highway led by EE Er Tadu Takhe, representatives of TK Engineering and Consortium Pvt Limited led by Mohan Bora Project Manager, Highway Authorities and others.
The DC expressed her disappointment over the slow progress of the work on NH-415(Package- B) and took a detailed stock of the condition of the road. She urged the team of TKECPL to speed up the work as the slow progress is causing inconvenience to commuters.
The representatives of TKECPL informed that the balance work on the road from Pappunallah – Jollang trijunction will begin from May 8 next to which the DC warned that there should not be any compromise of the quality of work and the work should be completed expeditiously.
They also informed the DC that the work on the flyover and the service road is in progress to which the DC asked them fill up the digging around piers of flyover for making the road smooth and motorable for the commuters. 
The DC informed that teams would be constituted to monitor the work on the highway. Team 1 will monitor the work on bitumen concrete layer from Nirjuli to Mithun Gate and Pappunallah- Jollang trijunction to the opposite of Niba Hospital.
Team 2 will monitor work on potholes from Yupia tri junction to Mithun gate.
Team 3 will fill up digging around piers of flyover for making the road smooth and motorable for the commuters.  Team 4 will look after the work on service road.
The DC informed that she will personally monitor the progress of work along with EAC and CO Naharlagun.
Mehta also directed them to ensure that the potholes are filled up regularly to avoid inconvenience to the public.
The DC also took stock of the work on Lagun bridge.
She also urged all the stakeholders to give their best in carrying out their responsibilities despite the arrival of the monsoon season.
The Project Manager of TKECPL was also instructed to create a detailed plan to implement the aforementioned decisions in a timely manner so as to resolve the issue of traffic congestion across the Naharlagun-Nirjuli stretch. 
Additionally,  the road quality across the Yupia trijunction till Mithun gate to be improved to make rides through the stretch more comfortable.
