ITANAGAR, Mar 30: In the wake of the COVID-19 lockdown, the District Administration Capital Region in collaboration with Itanagar Municipal Council and Department of Veterinary carried out disinfection at various locations today.
Speaking to reporters, Executive Engineer Tadar Tarang informed that since this morning team are spraying disinfectants in the market areas and in places where human footfall is maximum.
'We have started spraying from Nyokum Lapang and it will go upto Gohpur. Similar sanitization will be carried out in Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa in the coming days,' he added.
Responding to query, an official informed that as of now they are sanitising only markets areas and other areas where human footfall is maximum. There is no proposal to carry out spraying in colonies or sectors, added the officer who said directives will determine further action in this regard.
