NAHARLAGUN, May 10: Capital Complex Football Club (girls) lifted the Orja U-19 football tournament defeating strong opponents Lohit Team, Tezu by 2-0 in a challenging final match played here today at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Naharlagun.

Playing for the team Devi Dada (jersey no-7) and Binte Mayin (jersey no-2) of CC club netted one goal each to make the game in their favour; however the opponent Lohit Team failed to score any goals to defend their team and settled with the runners-up trophy.

Cash prize of Rs. 50,000 will be awarded to the winner and Rs 30,000 to the runners up team on the closing day on May 11next.

Final match of the boys group will be played on May 11 next at the same venue. Union minister of state for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju will be the chief guest of final match and the closing ceremony. 

To encourage the players, dignitaries like, Inspector General (HQ NE Ftr) ITBP - MS Rawat,   DIG (NE Ftr) ITBP,  SK Sharma, , DIG(NE Ftr) ITBP, GC Upadhyay, DIG SHQ ITA- Nirbhai Singh

and Commandant   4thBn, ITBP- Mukesh Saraf witnessed  the final (girls) match.

Earlier, a pipe band display was also held during the break session of the match that left the audience enthralled.
