ITANAGAR, Jul 9: A high-level review meeting regarding the actions taken by the Health department and the District Administration on Covid-19 containment in ICC and Papum Pare district was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar here at the CS Conference Hall.
Commissioners of the departments of Home, Planning, Power, Commissioner to the CM, IGP, Secretary (Health), Secretary (UD), DCs & DMOs of ICC and Papum Pare, DHS, Director (TRIHMS), State Surveillance Officer and team and Commandants of NDRF, IRBN & GREF attended the meeting. 
The main issue discussed was the increasing number of cases in the State Quarantine Facility at Lekhi and among the Paramilitary forces. Based on discussions it was decided that no fresh returnee will be entertained by NDRF till July 31 and the Lekhi facility shall be segregated in two parts, one to be used only as a Covid Care Centre (CCC) and the remaining for Institutional Quarantine Facilities. It was also decided that the Senior Officers’ quarters at Chimpu will be operationalized as Institutional Quarantine Facility for emergency cases.
Meanwhile, the ISBT Hall will be given to the NDRF for accommodating their company for next few months and at least 10 tents available with the Secretary (Disaster Management/SP, SDRF) shall be provided to the force in order to increase their quarantine facility at Yechi. DMO-ICC shall accommodate all the asymptomatic positive cases of NDRF, GREF and IRBN in the common CCC facility and all symptomatic cases shall be shifted to the DCHC and CH Facility.
Regarding the primary and secondary contacts of five cases, whose contacts are still untraceable, it was decided that in Sector-C, E & F of Naharlagun where these cases were detected, sero surveillance through Antigen Test shall be undertaken on priority and house-to-house survey shall be conducted within the next three days.
After deliberations on the emergence of positive cases in TRIHMS, it was decided that all the 137 primary contacts shall be tested with RTPCR and the secondary contacts with Antigen Rapid Test Kits over the next two days. Regarding the Covid hospital at Midpu, it was decided that the Director TRIHMS and CE-PHE shall supervise and monitor all its activities and the facility should operationalise by July 18 and the ICU facility to commence by July 31.
