Governor chairs high-level security review meeting
ITANAGAR, Mar 27:Referring to plight of the people of Upper Jumi Villager under Kimin Circle due to boundary issues with Assam, the All Arunachal Pradesh Border Students Union (AAPBSU) has urged the Joint Secretary Home to develop a proper boundary demarcation as per actual record available and deep consultation with villagers.
Highlighting the need for a proper boundary demarcation in order to resolve the border dispute, it alleged that lack of clarity over the boundaries has resulted often in confrontations between the people living along both sides of the interstate boundary.
Also nullifying the present boundary demarcation map made by DLRSO cum EAC, Kimin, it termed it as just an imaginary line developed without incorporating the views of the people residing there and not based on history of boundary establishment.
It further called for immediate cancellation of LPC (land possession certificate) issued to few people under reserve forest Area at Kimin and sought action against those who issued it.
