KHARSANG, Dec 31: An Arunachal State Transport (APST) bus caught fire this morning here at Kharsang but fortunately all passengers escaped unscathed. The bus was completely charred following a short circuit triggered the ignition.
As per report, the bus bearing registration No.Arx-0428 was on daily schedule plying from Miao to Changlang with 15 passengers on board. Noticing the sudden thick black smoke emitting from the bus,  the driver alerted the passengers helping them to deboard safely.
When contacted, driver Habibul Rehman informed that short circuit would be the main reason behind the incident, however actual cause is yet to ascertained.
