TEZU, Nov 22: Hundreds of Border Roads Organization labourers under the banner of BRO Labour’s  Union – Lohit District Unit  resorted to 48-hour hunger strike in front  of the  office of the OC,48 BRTF(GREF) as  a part of its national protest being held at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi against the Ministry of  Defence, Labour & Employment, Government of India.
The Union is demanding implementation of  labour law, maternity leave , social security, Bonus Act , 50% regularization policy for  the casual labours among others.
The Aalo Unit of BRO Labour Union is also observing 48 hours fast from November 22-24.
