PASIGHAT, Feb 24: Initiated by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, the British Council English Language Communicative Course started today at JN College, Pasighat. The course has been scheduled in two phases-Phase-I (24-29 Feb.2020) and Phase –II (23-28 March 2020).
British council trained quality teachers will take care of the coaching during the entire period of the said course. The course aims at imparting soft skills training and communicative brilliance to the young and dynamic students of Arunachal across all streams. This highly valued communicative course has been offered to only a few colleges of the state based on MoU signed between GoAP and British Council and JNC takes the lead to start it first. A total of 60 students across all streams, divided into two batches have been selected for the cherished course against 143 applications received with Alpha Numerical Scores based on the online test taken before selection.
Speaking in the inaugural session, JNC Principal Dr.Milorai Modi, applauded the creative initiative of the GoAP for bringing the new dawn of the communicative elegance into the students of colleges of Arunachal Pradesh. He urged upon the students to make full use of the course resources so to become an owner of a magnificent personality with operational and communicative exuberance.
Dr. SD Choudhury, JNC Vice Principal, stressed upon the need of such programmes, away from traditional ones to instill in young students a new current of self confidence through communicative riches.
Resource Persons from British Council Ms. Michelle Vincent and Ms. Swati Sinha also spoke on the occasion. They also highlighted the need of communicative edges over others in the appalling global scenario.
Dr. DP Panda, Coordinator, IQAC, appreciated the endeavour of the state government and the British Council for coming out with such programmes catering the needs of the youths of the state. Earlier,    Dr. SK Sinha, the Coordinator of the programme, awakened the house towards the objective and purpose of communicative eminence through such coaching and training. Focusing on the significance of communication skill, he viewed that communication proficiency is like highly priced commodity that positively enhances personality. DIPRO
