BOMDILA, Apr 2: The West Kameng police has recovered several stolen motorcycles and a car over in the past few days. Police has managed to recover all 16 stolen motorcycles so far and a SUV.
Bomdila Police led by OC Bomdila SI K. Dev and his team under the supervision of SP West Kameng Raja Banthia, seized a Toyota Fortuner with a tampered engine and without number plate from the town in connection with Bomdila PS case no. 11/20 U/S 379/ 411 IPC.
The said Fortuner was caught during a Naka in Bomdila Township to enforce lockdown. As of now, Bomdila Police has recovered all 16 numbers of stolen motorcycles including four-wheelers from various locations of Bomdila. Investigation is on to trace more stolen cars and motorcycles.
Meanwhile, in view of the outbreak of COVID-19 lockdown Bomdila Police Station has registered 6 number of cases U/S 188 IPC as of now and arrested 6 persons for violating lockdown order, stated a release
