KHONSA, Nov 18:  Body of a second  NSCN militant was recovered today from the incident site  by  Assam Rifles Jawans  at Laptang Vilage . However identification of the body is yet to be done.
On Saturday, heavy exchange of fire took place in Laptang Village of Khonsa district between Assam Rifles and NSCN militants where two militants were killed. However, only one body was recovered on Saturday last but during search operation after the  aftermath another body was recovered today, informed security official.
An HK 33 automatic rifle,176 rounds of 5.56 bullets , 2 backpack, 1 combat uniform ,1 mobile set, and three  FCC  5.56 live ammunition were recovered from the possession of the slain militants.
On Saturday security forces on receiving  tip-off on extortion drive by the militants in the area conducted  combing operation and suddenly  found the cadres  near Laptang Village which resulted in exchange of fire.
