KIMIN, Jan 6: The Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) organized a one-day awareness camp for the workers under the Border Road Organisation at Circuit House here in Papum Pare on Sunday.
APB&OCWWB chairman Jalley Sonam handed over blankets to 200 BRO labourers while 150 new labourers got registered under the Labour Board in the presence of Registration Officer Dosam Tara during the day.
Chairman Sonam urged the remaining BRO workers to register themselves under the Board while informing about its benefits. He lamented that, earlier, many registered BRO labourers could not avail many schemes due to lack of awareness.
APB&OCWWB chairman also said water filters would be provided to forty thousand registered workers, including the BRO labourers this year.
85 RCC OC Major U Sharma also addressed the labourers.
Assistant Engineer (Civil) BS Pingle q APB&OCWWB OSD Tadar Kayu also attended the awareness camp, among others.
