ITANAGAR, Jun 3:The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) while taking cognizance of the poor performance by students of the state in the recently declared CBSE board examination where the class X pass percentage stood at 22.22 % and Class XII at 44.33% expressed its deep concern and termed the development as reflection of the dismal education scenario of the state which needs deep introspection and retrospection from all the stakeholders—the state government, education department, teaching fraternity, students, parents, students organization and different community based organizations of the state.
This is a collective failure of the whole Arunachal society however the major share of the blame must be gracefully accepted by the state government and education department, the union said in a release today.
Despite numerous appeals by the apex students’ body of the state to revamp and overhaul the whole education sector of the state be it in the infrastructure arena, shortage of subject teachers, non supply of textbooks, overcrowding of teachers in the state capital and district headquarters etc, no concrete measure has been taken, it said.
